Recently, people have started losing their minds over everything that Elon Musk says because he paid to put Cult45 in office, and he is doing everything he can to make good on his investment. United States constituents have been obsessively shocked that someone paid for the government, and does not have anyone’s interest in mind except his own. I would remind everyone that to keep Tesla going, he helped facilitate a coup in Bolivia to take over their lithium supply. Furthermore, this arrogance that the United States will never have oppressive and exploitative behavior within its borders is wildly immature, and it is time to address that.
If a bully goes around bragging about being the best in the world, eventually someone is going to take that bully on, and win. That is the way of a world of bullies. Because the United States spent so much time instigating violence and extracting resources from everyone around it, it is finally time to pay the piper. No, there was nothing righteous about terrorizing other countries’ governments for our own gain. No, there was nothing special about demeaning every other form of government in the world in the international press. Having more billionaires was not a flex; it was a problem, and now it is officially too late to start getting worried.
People who constantly want what they want and cannot hear “no” see no problem in creating problems for everyone else. When these people have the majority of the resources in the world, as well as the ears of the international press, they are enabled to be the worst of the worst. There has been so much news about how terrible a person Elon Musk has been, and there are still people who defend him because we are all indoctrinated to believe that money is the only marker of intellect. When he was on Saturday Night Live, that show lost a lot of its audience because people recognized it as an attempt to sanitize his behavior, as well as that of others.
I find it very curious that a nation run on slavery and marketed as a “democracy” finally has a problem with people pointing out how wrong we were to justify terrible behavior for so long. There has always been a new slave to exploit in the United States as long as the nation has been in existence, and people have ignored what that meant. Just because people ran away to gated communities and suburbs, put their fingers in their ears, and turned up the streaming, does not mean that the United States has not magnified oppression and injustice during its entire existence. The comfortable people never believe that anyone in their circles would use them like they use others, but that is mythology. In the end, it was always going to come down to a fool like Musk buying our sycophantic politicians who care about nothing but power.
