Giving Away Takes Too Long

One of the reasons that people are now calling the non-profit world the “non-profit industrial complex” is because everything has been blown way out of proportion. There are too many barriers to affect change, and the complex has become just as elitist as any for-profit organization. Working within the dominant narrative presents a fundamental problem: how can people get something out of giving something to someone else? In truth, it is time for people to accept that people who cannot simply give without strings attached have no authentic generosity of spirit.

The obsession with attention for giving something to someone else is wholly narcissistic, without any mitigation. Why does anyone have to know that people are giving away their money when they supposedly want to do so? By adding huge publicity stunts to every major donation, those with control and resources are doing two things. First, they spend more money on the publicity than is actually raised for the cause itself, and exploit hundreds of workers to do so. Secondly, they set a precedent that if they are going to do anything, they demand to be showered with praise. Neither of these tasks actually addresses any of the causes the “elites” project to support.

A major reason that so many donations are small is that the “elites” want to keep everyone dependent on them. Reality demonstrates that they have the money to solve all of the problems simply by giving everyone resources. In fact, they already have the information to pay everybody in the entire country because of spyware and cookies. They know that everyone needs more money, just like they know they could do without nearly so many resources. However, they also know that if the problems are solved and no one needs their money, then they would never get all the control and resources again. Only abusers need to maintain control over everyone, which should let everyone know the true motive of “elites.”

Another barrier to resources is that “elites” make a lot of work for people trying to do the work, meaning that instead of helping, folks in distress are filling out paperwork. There is no excuse for that other than to perpetuate the non-profit industrial complex. If people were truly interested in funding causes, there would not be nearly as much scrutiny of non-profits, which is ironic since for-profit entities have many more resources and almost zero scrutiny. Where was the letters of recommendation for Bill Gates and Warren Buffet to bankrupt humanity? What essay did Jeff Bezos produce before violating human rights? Yet to access any of their resources that they stole and preyed upon others to obtain, there is a mountain of paperwork and an army of “administration” to overcome.

Furthermore, why do organizations have to offer tax breaks to people who have already extracted far beyond the means of many? People may argue and say that there should be a give-and-take for those with extensive resources. I would argue that the “take” part has already occurred, so maybe the “give” should be a little more important than what some “elite” wants to understand. Becoming a non-profit takes a lot of work and even more patience, and there are so many obstacles and approvals that many people are starting to avoid the process. Unless the “elites” lack morality, it is time to give back without conditions.

Most importantly, everything about “giving away money” takes way too long, and exacerbates the original conditions. People complain about unhoused people being on drugs, but they are surprisingly silent when more luxury homes are built despite the mountainous waiting list to get into housing, and attacking people for being outside. So many people think writers need to “get a job,” but they ignore the fact that all the publishing houses and independent presses put an army in front of manuscripts. For a country that demands for everyone to “stand out,” the “elites” have made it impossible to stand out among the millions of desperate people.

If people wanted to be generous, they would simply be generous. No amount of publicity will ever change that fact, and no amount of indoctrination will convince anyone otherwise. Giving to people should take no time and be without restraint, but honestly, people with control and resources lack generosity. As the nation falls due to selfishness, all the “elites” can sit in their bunkers and ponder why they had to leave everyone with nothing.
