World Cup on ICE

After hearing all this nonsense about ICE at the airport, it always astonishes me how short-sighted people can be in the empire. The World Cup is happening this year, and the majority of the games are located in the United States, which could have meant millions of dollars for the empire. So many rich people care about the World Cup not for themselves, but for families, populations, and for being seen being able to attend elite events in ways that the working class could only dream. Why would the emperor decide to cut off his nose to spite his face? Largely because that is the only way that things have been going in the empire these days.

First and foremost, wealthy travelers do not manage harassment, and even if people fly in on private jets, they still have to go through Customs. Threatening the wealthy with a bunch of law enforcement wannabes is a great way to project that the United States just lets anything go without any kind of order. People with servants and multiple residences will look at all that nonsense, say, “Nope!” and then a bunch of real estate will be on the market. After all, even South African “refugees” got tired of the games and went back home.

All of these rich people are completely indifferent about the racists who want their money. Everyone wants the money of rich people, and quite frankly, there should be some wealth redistribution because most of the planet is in dire straits. However, the race of people who want money is irrelevant to the people who hoard it, so none of the “elites” will be looking to serve a bunch of idiots who make fun of accents and clothing traditions. They will simply acknowledge that some people are not long-term thinkers and leave them alone.

Finally, no one has the nostalgia for the empire, regardless of our impressions and the propaganda spread across the planet. We have been operating from a post-WWII playbook for over 60 years, and everyone is just about over it. The internet exists, and who we really are is widely available in a number of languages. No one wants to go or come back to a country unable to honestly look at itself.
