Being Bombarded Makes People Forget

How many times has someone attempted to assassinate the “leader” of this current administration? Because of the two highly publicized events, the general public could be confused into believing that there were only two attempts. This is a result of not being able to critically put together timelines, which is exactly the point of being bombarded with news cycles on a regular basis. For those like myself who make timelines for fun, we are on the fourth highly publicized event in which “Trump feared for his life.” I remember calling the third one to an old friend, and I am actually surprised that this stunt was pulled at a time when there is no sympathy left, either for the “leader” or for the followers who refused to learn.

Butler, PA was the first purported attempt, which conveniently coincided with the campaign transition from Joe Biden to Kamala Harris, something that people choose to forget. This clown knew that Old Man vs. Old Man was getting, well, old, and that many people were tired of seeing either him or Biden at the helm of anything important. A younger biracial woman who was a career-focused stepparent, making her much more appealing in the waning of the “tradwife” scam, especially after the 2020 summer of racial tensions? The campaign had two choices: either hope that the insults would convince her into dropping out, or make an old, rich, white man look like a sympathetic figure. This is what happens when billionaires own the press and people are tired.

To keep this lunatic looking like a target, rather than a menace, campaign managers had to keep the sympathy fresh because the “leader” kept opening his mouth and proving why no one should vote for him. Additionally, people needed to start being conditioned into believing that more security and law enforcement were crucial for the safety of everyone, not just a president. The other two attempts were closer to the election, which should have made them more obvious to anyone who was paying attention. After four years of nothing, a sniper happens to trespass onto a golf course where this moron lives, and a rally? Secret Service positions must be handed out in cereal boxes for those scenarios to make sense–which is why they do not.

Now, we have a final attempt during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner? These are literally the people paid or pushed to propagate the nonsense that the Administration shoves down our throats. Many journalists of credibility were boycotting it for a reason, and officials knew that because people are no longer trying to shove themselves in the faces of fascists for approval. Not only was everyone immediately bored after hearing about it, but the video itself shows how he was sauntering out of there before clawing for more attention afterwards at a clearly preplanned press conference. People could care less, and for the first time, he knows that, especially since the sycophants from his side have started to publicly distance themselves.

When creeps start being seen as the creeps they actually are, the world starts looking at all the infrastructure that allowed for the creeps to exist. Instead of people being able to “see the light,” they are feeling distance from others because amidst the crazy news cycles, many of us were paying attention, noticed a pattern, called out the pattern, and were rebuked. At the end of the day, even when there are a million crazy stories, it becomes time to stop being “overwhelmed” by sensationalism, and start recognizing timing and affect. During a collapsing empire, these types of fake events will only increase.
