People have been working very hard to gaslight the majority of the population about how “wonderful” AI is, despite the fact that most AI companies have not been able to maintain profitability. Instead, most of the “billions” that AI keeps making are shrouded in big companies working to sustain their images, rather than their productivity. The only consistent consequence to AI has been the amount of job loss due to cheap executives that think money will walk into their pockets if they fire everyone. Because many of them need the infrastructure-heavy, high resource cost venture to pay off, they will do anything except admit that the world was neither asking for nor equipped to handle heavy usage of AI. Now, it is time for the public to stop gaslighting itself into believing that businesses are either too big to fail or that all tech ventures are worth supporting, even it they repeatedly demonstrate failure.
Technoligarchs believe that AI should be handling easy-level inquiries that entry-level workers used to be able to manage, and they congratulate themselves about how they replaced all the wasted revenue on staff. What these disconnected and socially immature individuals fail to understand is that most issues are resolved when humans use social intelligence and experience combined with internal knowledge to confront smaller issues. For example, I went a month without a debit card because mine was lost, and consequently, I was unable to stop where different companies took my automatic payments. Despite hours of talking to AI bots about the account where I had credit, the inner workings of the company refused to listen to my instructions. Once I was able to talk to human beings, all of my issues were resolved quickly and with minimal stress. Telling everyone to just “read the website” is not demonstrating compassion and/or connectivity, and most people will disengage when disrespected with that kind of dismissiveness.
Additionally, AI takes water and land away from human beings to contribute to the imagination of a few people who do nothing but hoard things from the majority of society. No one needs AI but everyone needs food and water. Taking away food and water, while simultaneously expecting everyone to have more children and buy more things demonstrates how stupid most technoligarchs are, regardless of how much of the mainstream/legacy press they buy to say otherwise. If people have nothing to eat or drink, and cannot make a living because AI takes away livelihoods, most individuals would love children enough not to slowly starve them to death. Short-sighted decisions lead to long-term consequences, a lesson which these clowns are on the verge of discovering.
Here is a fact that most members of the general public need to swallow: idiots who fantasize about robots running the world from their sci-fi dreams are NOT the best decision-makers, and they never have been. Yes, the empire is dealing with a “male loneliness epidemic,” but that has largely been developed around a belief in technological superiority and a failure to learn self awareness. These hoarding maniacs have decided that everyone needs to bow to their superiority, and that anyone challenging such a mindset is “backwards” and “unenlightened.” Earth lacks the resources to enact most of the fantasies about flying cars and everything run by robots because those things need to be built, programmed, and would need to advance decades before the technology would even be useful. Stop praising this technology designed to starve babies and eliminate humanity. Bigoted, selfish people are not doing any of this for the “common individual,” and their limitations need to be realized before it is too late.
