White parents called the police on a Black toddler for playing too well in soccer, the police came, and the Black child was removed from the field. This reminds me of my fourth grade teacher who targeted me to get me kicked out of school–only later did I learn that the schools had only recently been integrated, and only then because of the courts. This reminds me of the abject hostility I got when I got into Yale. My mind flashes back to all the workplace bullying I got when I was good at my job, including fast food because my Black male boss decided that he hated me because reasons. I remember white women bullying a Black 8-year-old at a church I now refuse to attend ever again.
It never ceases to amaze me how much people hate Black people, and will. NOT. admit it. Furthermore, they cannot admit how irrational it is or that their hatred should be their problem, not ours. I am just. SO. tired.
