Sometimes, Defeat Is Inevitable

After hearing about Black people being hung from trees, not getting any long-term jobs this year, dealing with unemployment, and finally, getting kicked out of the apartment that I just went bust for–I lack the energy to advise, rant, or inform. This is not resilience. This is just me dealing with the dominant narrative. Black people are neither subhuman nor superhuman, and we are allowed to be exhausted.
